The Principality of Monaco is an independent sovereign state located between the foot of the Southern Alps and the Mediterranean. It borders entirely with France and Italy is just 16 km far from Italian border. The nearest international airport is Nice which is only 20km away.

Based on the latest official census, there are 37,579 inhabitants in the Principality of Monaco. Over 125 nationalities are represented and the main representatives are Monegasque, French and Italian ones. Monaco and the neighbouring French areas represent approximately 95,515 people.

Monaco boasts the world’s highest GDP at US$ 53,177, GDP per capita at $132,571, and GNI per capita at $183,150. It also has the lowest unemployment rate at 0%, with over 48,000 workers who commute from France and Italy each day.

The official language of Monaco is French, but there are several languages spoken, including Monégasque, the national language of the Monégasque people. English and Italian are also widely spoken.
